Choosing a design and selecting appropriate methodologies can be challenging. Explaining why these are the correct choices and justifying the chosen approach is also required. Doctoral students must ensure that their problem statement, research questions, and purpose statement are clear, relevant, and feasible.
The ways to overcome this obstacle are: to have a positive attitude and a desire to understand research design. It is important to discuss the methodology section with members of your committee. Online tutorials and videos can also serve as guides to enhance understanding.

Analyzing data involves complex statistical software, which can be intimidating for those unfamiliar with how the programs operate. Data analysis errors can compromise the validity of the research and require retesting and extensive revisions.
The ways to overcome this challenge are the same as those in the design and methodology section. Many online resources and videos are accessible. Balancing research, coursework, personal responsibilities, and life commitments can be overwhelming. Effective time management is crucial for maintaining progress on a dissertation. However, many students find it difficult to allocate sufficient time to their research because of other obligations.
Organizing and structuring your time is essential to managing this challenge. Set reasonable goals for how many pages you want to write each day. Partition enough study and writing time to accomplish what you set out to achieve. Gaining the support of other people involved in your life will strengthen your resolve to cross the doctoral finish line.
Perfectionism and Isolation
A perfectionist mindset can hinder progress and delay completion, as students may become frustrated, especially after receiving feedback from committee members. The belief that a dissertation can be easily written could lead to self-criticism and procrastination.
